Aida Bašić: "Because of Islam, I am appreciative and thankful for everything that I have. My family's interpretation of Islam emphasizes the appreciation of family because God put you in your family for a reason. You only have one mother and one father and you should always cherish that."
Faten Yousef: "My religion teaches me faith, and understanding the cultural aspect of it as well. I also respect the values I grew up with and following those values throughout my life."
Khateeja Khan: "It teaches me to faithful especially through praying five times a day. It's important to me as a Muslim, because that's what we are required to do and that is what I believe in. Practicing my religion through peace is essential in my life."
Rani Zayed: "I learned to have a lot of respect for my parents. Islam teaches us how to treat our parents and no matter what, to be there for them through hardships and tough times."
Nora Alabri: "Certainly not killing. Islam teaches me kindness and understanding everyone's point of view. It teaches me how I can help others and love them."
Reem Ali: "Islam teaches me to be modest and respect others. Also, having such a strong connection with God guides me in my life. Through adolescent years when everyone else felt lost, having a connection with God kept me grounded because I knew why I'm here on this earth."
Sahar Siddiqui: "I am aware of how to treat other people no matter their religion and to consider their ideas and opinions in order to value and respect what they have to say."
Barra Razick: "Personally through Islam I have learned how to be humble. No matter who you are or how faithful you are, you have to be humble. You never know who's more religious than you, and you have to respect other people for that."
